Aims
In this two hour session we shall focus our attention on the communication and language development of 2 year olds. In particular we shall concentrate on how language develops from the babbling one year to single words and discuss how we can support this in our everyday practice in our settings
Summary
The EYFS Prime Area of Communication and Language, states, 'The number and quality of the conversations (children) have with adults and peers throughout the day in a language-rich environment is crucial.' This statement will be the focus of this two hour session. We shall carry out a deep dive on what does communication and language looks like for 2 year olds and how we can, through meaningful and quality interactions encourage and support it further
