Aims
The Statutory EYFS (2021) 3.7. States: 'Providers must have regard to the government's statutory guidance ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ and to the ‘Prevent duty guidance for England and Wales’. This short online session is for ALL early years’ practitioners, leaders and managers in ensuring they are complaint in meeting their statutory duty to safeguard children. |
Summary
Register Out of School Provides must have regard to either Ofsted's requirements on the “Daycare providers on the compulsory Childcare Register" or "Daycare providers on the Voluntary Childcare Register". It states that providers must "keep the children being cared for safe from harm and make sure that everyone looking after children is alert to any signs of harm" and "provide training to everyone who looks after children on the procedures in your safeguarding policy." Your written safeguarding policy should include having regard to the ‘Prevent duty guidance for England and Wales’.
