Aims

This webinar, led by RAFT (retrofit action for tomorrow) will introduce the Southwark Schools Action Builder Accelerator Programme to Southwark Schools. The session is open to SLT, teaching staff, sustainability leads, sustainability and climate link governors and site managers. 

Join the RAFT, Southwark Council and Let's Go Zero for a day of climate action!

On the day, you'll have the opportunity to attend the following sessions: 

  • Let's Go Zero will host a session on how to build or update Climate Action Plans for your school. Recommended for sustainability leads, SLT or business and premises managers
  • RAFT will discuss how to develop your buildings decarbonisation and climate mitigation plan. Recommended for premises and business managers

Session one: 9am - 12pm

Session two: 1pm - 4pm

Location: Southwark Council, 160 Tooley Street, SE1 2TZ

The workshop will be split into a morning and afternoon session, with each workshop running twice. 

If you would like to attend both workshops, you are invited to attend both the morning and afternoon sessions.

Alternatively, multiple staff members from your setting can attend each workshop respectively or for your school to attend a single workshop that suits your needs. Once you've confirmed which session/sessions you'll be attending we'll share a calendar invite. 

Summary

Led by RAFT, the Action Builder Accelerator programme provides bespoke support for up to 30 Southwark schools to use the platform. 

This support includes:

•Workshops

•1:1 support sessions with experts

•Improving knowledge of premises and site managers

•Support with self-auditing school buildings

•Q&A drop-in clinics

 

This will help schools:

•Learn how to reduce energy use and bills

•Plan and fund a retrofit strategy 

•Plan and track progress towards decarbonisation

•Access teaching and learning resources
