Southwark Council

If you are looking for support to make your buildings more energy efficient, or installing renewable energy projects (such as solar panels) get in contact with us. The council has already undertaken significant work on schools in the borough, and further support may be available.

SE24

SE24 are a community energy group based in the borough. They are looking to collaborate with schools on a range of measures to help schools reduce emissions from their buildings.

Department for Education

The Department for Education has published a sustainability and climate change paper. It focusses on five different action areas: climate education, green skills and careers, education estate and digital infrastructure, operations and supply chains and international.

RAFT (Retrofit Action for Tomorrow)

Zero Carbon Action Builder: a new online tool that empowers schools to take smart, decisive action towards upgrading their buildings including planning and prioritising actions, aligning funding and compliance and engaging pupils, staff and the community. Register here to receive updates once the tool goes live.  

Eco-schools

Count Your Carbon : Track carbon emissions annually using Eco-Schools Carbon Counting tool 

The Playground:  A new free interactive learning tool that lets pupils see how making changes to the energy, water, food and fuel their school uses affects its carbon footprint.
