Welcome to the Governor Services Team.

My Name is Donna Muir and I am the Head of Governor Services in Southwark. I have been working in school governance for the past nine years, and have spent the majority of that time working in Wandsworth. I joined Southwark in 2021 as Head of Governor Services and part of the wider Education, Learning and Achievment Team and lead on all areas govenance related as well as supporting our excellent clerking service.

I am passionate about education and as a  governor myself, I understand the role that governors play in supporting excellent education for young people.

As the role of governors grows ever more complex, I recognise that it is essential that schools have access to high quality support, advice, information and training and I, along with the team of Governor Development Advisors, strive to deliver this to all Southwark Schools.
