Collaboration Opportunities – Southwark Education Partnership

There are a number of opportunities for Headteachers and Senior Leaders to get involved in co-designing LA services, having a say in how funding is spent or participating in taskforces.

If you are interested in being involved with any of the below upcoming opportunities, please contact your school family lead.

These will also be discussed at your next partnership family meeting. Please contact your family leader about dates of future meetings.

Summerhouse Advisory Board

Representation on the Summerhouse Advisory Board is needed in order to:

  • Provide independent strategic advice and challenge to the Summerhouse leadership team.
  • Support informed decision-making regarding service development and sustainability.
  • Review progress against agreed key performance indicators.
  • Assist in identifying solutions to challenges and opportunities for service improvement.
  • Support the long-term strategic vision of the primary behaviour support service.
  • Act as advocates for inclusion and enhanced support for pupils with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs within mainstream schools.

This board will operate in an advisory capacity and will not hold decision-making authority.

Primary Behaviour Support Taskforce

Working party needed to examine potential future delivery models for the service in greater detail and provide recommendations to Schools Forum in December.

School Improvement

Working group needed to:

  • Explore potential school improvement delivery models.
  • Consider associated financial implications.
  • Assess opportunities for wider partnership working across the borough.

Recommendations will be taken to schools forum in December.

Cross System Inclusion Group

 

Representation at the Cross System Inclusion Group which is attended by a range of services from across the council, including education, health and social care.

The group has a strategic role in shaping local authority decision making regarding improving attendance and reducing suspensions and permanent exclusions. It has oversight of several subgroups including data, mental health, transition and inclusion solutions that report into the group
