Boys play with dolls too!

Aims

Following on from the hugely successful Girls Like Dinosaurs Too! This session will focus on the imaginative play of boys and by giving all children opportunities to experience playing with dolls it can help all children to develop social-emotional skills by identifying feelings such as joy, sadness, or frustration, both in their dolls and in themselves. As children navigate through these scenarios, they learn to recognise and articulate emotions, which is a vital step in developing empathy.

Summary

Join me for this two and half hour session and we shall look at areas including, how playing with dolls encourages children to learn about and consider other perspectives during solitary and group play. Model empathetic behaviour during playtime and encourage children to talk about their thoughts and emotions to further develop these crucial skills
