Aims
This training will enable participants to:
- Gain an overview of the 'Observation, Assessment and Planning' (OAP) processes for young children in an early years setting
- Understand the requirements of the EYFS (2021) in relation to OAP
- Carry out observations which show an understanding of the individual child, their experiences and their learning and development incorporating current interests and how this links in with the Seven Areas of Learning
- Effectively observe, in order to make an assessment of what children understand from everyday activities, events and experiences and to accurately monitor progress in order to plan accordingly to promote the child’s learning, interests and stages of development.
