📄 How to Book and Pay for Your Course (PDF)
The aim of this half day session is to explore the four strands of Early Literacy, which are;
1. Text in the environment
2. Mark Making
3. Oral language
4. Books
During the session we shall take each strand individually and 'unpick' what this means and how we can ensure we are focusing on these in our settings
Summary
This training focuses on all four strands of early literacy, but we shall also focus on the EYFS Specific area of Literacy. We shall explore all the elements of the educational programmes for the learning and development of literacy, with a special focus on the stated dimensions that are 'language comprehension' and 'word reading'. We shall cover how in early years we can be integral to setting the foundations to embedding the skills needed for early literacy.
