Aims

Water play is a form of sensory play; making it inherently sensory-rich, providing tactile experiences that stimulate cognitive growth. The soothing properties of water offer a therapeutic effect and the sound and feel of water can be calming, providing a peaceful ‘respite’ from a hustling and bustling busy playroom. In this session we shall focus on how if we plan for water play as a continuous provision, we can create an interactive, engaging, and effective learning environment for children

Summary

Water play significantly supports communication and language development and all areas of learning and development,by providing a social, engaging, and open-ended context for language learning. Children naturally engage in conversations, negotiate roles, and share ideas during water play, fostering social skills and expanding their vocabulary through descriptive words, action words, and positional language, we shall considers these ideas thorughout the session. In this sessionw e shall focus on all areas of learning and development throughout the EYFS and cosnider the benfits of water play
