Aims
Dear Headteachers, School Business Managers and School Leaders,
We are pleased to launch our new People Matters lunchtime session series, providing schools with the opportunity to receive updates on key HR developments, share learning and discuss current people management issues.
Our first session will focus on HR Policies and Procedures, covering a number of new and revised Schools HR policies and supporting guidance documents that have recently been published.
The session will include an overview of:
- The revised Schools HR Grievance Policy
- The new Schools HR Resolution Toolkit and its practical application in resolving workplace concerns at the earliest opportunity
- The new Respect at Work Model Statement
- The new Third Party Harassment, Abuse and Inappropriate Behaviour Policy
- Updates to the Sexual Harassment Policy
- The new Choosing the Right Policy Guidance, designed to help schools navigate areas of overlap between procedures
- Key implications arising from recent DfE guidance on preventing and tackling bullying and harassment of school staff
- Opportunities for questions and discussion
The updated policies and guidance have been developed to support schools in creating safe, respectful and inclusive working environments and to ensure continued alignment with current legal and best practice requirements.
