Aims
DSLs and DDSLs should undergo training to provide them with the knowledge and skills required to carry out the role. This training should be updated at least every two years. In Southwark, DSLs and DDSLs normally attend the two-day induction training and attend the one-day refresher training two years after their induction. They then attend the half-day update training every two years.
This LSCP Level 4 half-day update training aims to provide an essential update for experiencded DSLs and DDSLs. It is an opportunity to refresh and update their knowledge and skills in view of the changes in legislation as well as in national and local policies, procedures and practices since their last training.
