Campaigns - Mental Health Awareness Week
Mental Health Awareness week is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation, and we wanted to highlight some resources to coincide with this year’s theme of Loneliness.
The Mental Health Foundation have developed a schools pack Loneliness – Finding our connections to feel less lonely School Pack | Mental Health Foundation. They have also developed a stakeholder toolkit (pdf, 3.4mb) with key themes and guidance surrounding loneliness.
There are also a set of resources which may be useful for schools and education staff:
- A guide for education staff
- Our young parent guide: https://www.mentalhealth.org.uk/projects/peer-education-project-pep/schools-resources/loneliness-young-parents-guide
- Their Empowerment and Later Life Team released a toolkit for those in later life experiencing loneliness

Children’s Mental Health Week was 7th - 13th February 2022. The theme was Growing Together. Here at Southwark, we wanted to show what our schools are doing to support Children, Young People and Families in promoting healthy minds from a young age and how they will continue to allow both to flourish in the coming years.
