About the course
It is important to think about how your recruitment and selection processes not only adhere to legal standards but also how they foster an inclusive, equitable, and diverse workplace for all. Within schools, a recruitment panel will be formed and it will be their responsibility to implement the school's recruitment and selection policy, ensuring that the hiring process is open, fair, and transparent. The recruitment panel’s role is essential in upholding the integrity of the recruitment process while aligning with the school's values, commitment to diversity and inclusion, and adherence to safer recruitment standards.
Aims of the course
This online course aims to provide you with an understanding of inclusive recruitment. There are three modules on equalities, unconscious bias, and recruitment and selection.
The course aims are:
- To understand equalities in the workplace
- To recognise unconscious bias and understand how to acknowledge and challenge it in the workplace
- To understand how to implement inclusive recruitment and selection processes
