Sensory Needs Service

The Sensory Needs Service supports children and young people, their families, and schools with hearing, vision and multi-sensory impairment.

The two teams which make up our service – the Hearing Support Service and Vision Impairment Team: 

  • assess, advise and support individual children and young people and their families from birth to 25
  • advise schools and colleges to facilitate full access to the curriculum and support internships and work experience opportunities
  • commission mobility and rehabilitation services, including IT and audiological equipment.
