Reporting possible measles cases

If schools are made aware of possible measles cases, they should inform South London Health Protection Team (SLHPT) as it is a notifiable disease. SLHPT will  then obtain further information about the case and carry out a risk assessment with the clinicians and the parents.

The gov.uk link below has detailed guidance on managing infectious diseases at schools:

All outbreaks of sicknesses/infectious diseases in schools and child care settings should be reported to SLHPT via phone or email.
