Summary
This is an information session to provide more information and advice on the Level 3 SENDCo in PVI's (CERTSEY) qualification which is an accredited qualification designed by Eastern Partnership and accredited by Gateway Qualifications.
This is a 9 month accredited course which will explore the SEND Code of Practice (2015) in detail and is an opportunity for SENDCo's/ aspiring SENDCo's to reflect on their current practice and make improvements within their setting to support children with SEND.
Any practitioner who works with under 5's is welcome to join the course including staff at PVI settings, childminders and children centre staff. You do not need to currently be working with children with SEND, you can base assessments on a child you have worked with previously.
The information session is a free 1.5 hour session but the course itself is a 9 month online learning programme and you must be committed to attend 4 full day workshops throughout the 9 month period.
Although the information is free to attend there will be a fee for the accredited qualification should you choose to participate and this will be payable ahead of the course start date. No payment will need to be made for your attendance at the information session it is only if you make an application to join the 9 month course.
The accredited course will begin on 1st February 2025 and applications for the course WILL NOT be accepted later than 31st January 2025. The Southwark Early Years Team will only run this course once a year.
