Aims

Lifting Limits is a charity with a mission to challenge gender stereotyping and promote gender inequality, in and through education.  They do this because they believe gender stereotyping limits children’s choices and aspirations from a young age - with children’s attitudes towards gender ingrained by the age of 10, early intervention is key.

In this session, Caren Gestetner, CEO of Lifting Limits, will discuss where stereotyping might persist in the school and early years environments and share some strategies for addressing it.  Caren will outline Lifting Limits' whole school approach, drawing on findings from its work in primary schools, as well as a recent project working with early years settings in Camden.
