Aims

• Help practitioners understand the new inspection process and what to expect
• Build confidence in using the inspection toolkit effectively
• Support settings to understand how inspectors make inspection decisions and determine grades.
• Clarify expectations around Inclusion, Achievement, Behaviour, attitudes and establish routines, Children’s welfare and well-being, Leadership and governance.
• Enable practitioners to confidently talk about their practice during inspection

Summary

This training is designed specifically to support childminders and PVI (private, voluntary and independent) settings in preparing for the new inspection process. During the session we will explore the Early years Inspection Toolkit and inspection operating guide for inspectors.

Both documents will be looked at in depth, with clear explanations of what inspectors are looking for and how this applies in practice.
