Aims

Stay informed, connected, and ahead of the latest developments in education through our Headteachers' Breakfast Briefings, hosted each half term by the Local Authority School Improvement Team.

These sessions are informative and are designed to provide Headteachers with timely updates on key local and national priorities, policy developments, school improvement initiatives, and emerging issues affecting schools. Each briefing features a series of focused presentations and updates, ensuring participants receive relevant information in an efficient and accessible format.

Overview

The briefings provide an opportunity for school leaders to:

  • Receive up-to-date information on local and national education developments.
  • Gain insights into key policy changes and school improvement priorities.
  • Hear from Local Authority officers and education specialists.
  • Network and engage with fellow Headteachers and school leaders.

Summary

A detailed agenda will be circulated one week in advance of each session. Following every briefing, agendas, presentation materials, resources, and handouts will be made available via the website for future reference.

During this academic year, meetings will alternate between online and face-to-face formats, offering flexibility while maintaining valuable opportunities for professional engagement and collaboration.

These briefings are an essential source of information and support, helping Headteachers remain well-informed and equipped to lead their schools effectively in an evolving educational landscape.
