Aims

The course is for practitioners working with non-mobile babies and aims to:

  • Explore the use of ‘open-ended’ materials and their relationship to ‘The Active Learner’
  • Have the confidence to introduce everyday objects and sensory materials into the enabling environment
  • Explore and discover the awe and wonder introducing natural and sensory materials to children’s learning experiences and how this can engage their curiosity of the world around them

Summary

Young babies are dependent on the adults who care for them to provide a wide range of interesting and stimulating multi-sensory experiences, to support the healthy development of their maturing brains. This workshop will enable the practitioner to promote the use of ‘open-ended’ materials that will stimulate the senses into the spaces that children explore

This course uses video clips, group activities, written materials and interactive discussions to support learning

Some fabulous resources for you to keep will also be shared with those who attend the training
