Statutory Moderation Guidance

Moderator Recruitment

Local authorities are accountable to STA, on behalf of the Secretary of State for Education, for the delivery of their statutory duties in relation to external moderation of KS2 English writing teacher assessment (TA).

To deliver this duty in Southwark and maintain consistency across the LA, we have a small moderation team of about twelve moderators, four of whom are consultants and about eight are school moderators. We are now recruiting to fill a small number of places for new moderators. The below recruitment process only applies to new moderators.
