Independent Travel Training Bus

The bus has been set up to empower people with special educational needs and disabilities to practice and feel confident in their ability to use public transport.

The dates of the upcoming Travel Training Bus are:     

 Academic Year 2026 - 2027 :

  • 3rd February  2027
  • 3rd March
  • 5th May
  • 2nd June
  • 7th July  

Times are 10am to 12noon and 12.30 to 2pm.

The best type of training we can offer is practical. Each month is different. Young people/adults (year 6 +) and their parents/carers bring their own individual needs which we try to accommodate. We cover pedestrian training, tips and advice to make the best use of the bus service and personal safety.

The bus is FREE.

It’s an interactive 90 minute journey with the Metropolitan Police, TfL Travel Mentoring Service and Revenue Protection and Road Safety Officers on board.
