Southwark LA Inclusion Guidance for schools 2026-2027
This guidance gives a detailed breakdown of the Southwark Inclusion Standards, previously the Southwark SEND Standards, and is designed to support schools and settings to measure and further embed their inclusive practice. In line with reforms from the Department for Education and changes to Ofsted's inspection framework, the Standards now take a broader view of inclusion, covering all forms of educational disadvantage rather than SEND alone.
The Southwark self-evaluation audit tool for mainstream settings can be used by schools to review how well a setting is meeting the standards.
