What is the Southwark School Meals Transformation Programme?

The programme will support all nursery, primary, secondary and special school schools to improve their school meals provision in terms of nutrition and value for money.

Ten evidenced based interventions will work together to transform Southwark’s school food system, each identified following a series of reviews last year.

Sharing what works well in Southwark

This website is a space for schools to share local examples of what is working well in school food service and celebrate success.  It also brings together:

  • useful national and borough school food policy and delivery guidance,

  • useful checklists for managing and monitoring school food, and

  • links to other resources
