Applications open until 14 September 2026, 4.00pm 

 

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the Challenge the Gap learning hub. This is a two-year initiative designed to support creative pedagogical approaches to closing the attainment gap through a positive peer led model of support. The hub will complement existing CPD initiatives in the borough. Hub leads will have £10,000 per year to deliver their hub activities.

 

 

!Please note! additional RISE funding of £17,500 has also been secured for a specific Closing the Gap in English project to be delivered as part of this hub in the first year of operation. This initiative could be delivered by a lead from a different school, appointed by the Challenge the Gap Hub Lead.The project will need to be rolled out over the autum and spring terms (2026 - 2027) and has a pre-designed plan of delivery for set number of up to 10 schools.
