Design & Technology Subject Leaders Meeting - Autumn Term 1 2026-2027

Aims

This network meeting is designed to provide support for Design and Technology (D&T) Subject Leaders through the sharing of information, experiences, resources, and effective practice with colleagues from other schools. The programme aims to strengthen subject leadership, enhance curriculum provision, and support continuous school improvement.

Through collaboration and professional dialogue, participants will develop greater confidence in leading D&T within their settings while gaining practical strategies that can be implemented immediately.

Objectives

Participants will:

• Develop their understanding of current developments in Design and Technology education.
• Share effective practice and successful approaches from their schools.
• Strengthen leadership skills to drive improvement in teaching and learning.
• Review curriculum design, progression, and assessment practices.
• Explore strategies for monitoring, evaluating, and developing D&T provision.
• Network with colleagues and build professional partnerships.
• Access practical resources and guidance to support school improvement priorities.
