Autumn 2020 SGA meetings
SGA Management Committee information 2020
Southwark Governors’ Association is open to governors in state funded schools in Southwark. It meets termly and hears from a range of interesting and engaging speakers – including councillors, council officers as well as external speakers covering a whole array of topics.
It provides an opportunity for governors to network and share best practice in strategic governance and leadership.
The termly meetings are organised by the Management Committee. This is a group of up to ten people representing the diversity of schools in Southwark.
Members are elected for a two year term of office and may serve for two consecutive terms. The committee was designed in this way to ensure that there would be a blend of new and more experienced members on the committee and opportunities for new governors to become involved.
A number of members have completed their four years, which has opened up an excellent opportunity for new governors to come on board and help shape the voice of Southwark governors.
