Aims
‘Identifying and supporting SLCN in Early Years’
This is a targeted training for any setting who has a child/ren that may have a potential SLCN or for any practitioner that has an interest in developing their knowledge in SLCN
The aim is to consider how we first identify children who may have a potential SLCN in our settings, then build on this to learn more about the pathways we must think about to ensure the right intervention at the right time. We shall then take time to discuss all the different ways we can support our children who we identify as having a potential SLCN and finally how we approach and work alongside parents to ensure our children have improved SLC outcomes
We shall focus on 4 modules;
Module One: Early identification of SLCN
Module Two: Pathways to support SLCN
Module Three: Supporting children with SLCN
Module Four: Working with families to support children’s SLCN
