Aims

In this short session we shall focus on gender, play and language and how if we can provide a curriculum where inclusive language is used, offer a wide and varied assortment of books and resources in our environments we can help children to reach their full potential and be whoever they wish to be…!

Summary

For a well-balanced holistic development, children need access to a wide range of resources, activities, spaces, environments and experiences . If we think and believe certain things are ‘for girls’ or ‘for boys’ then this could potentially limit their opportunities. We shall explore in this session how we can use our play areas to support curiosity for all, which in turn builds language opportunities

This course uses video clips, group activities, written materials and interactive discussions to support learning

Some fabulous resources for you to keep will also be shared with those who attend the training
