Aims
Southwark Council have partnered with SLaM to deliver training
for staff on parental mental health and parent-infant
relationships. This training is an opportunity to:
- Improve practitioner knowledge & understanding of family
- approaches to perinatal and parental mental health.
- Understand the impact of low, medium & severe perinatal and
- parental mental health difficulties on parent & family function,
- parenting, parent-infant interaction, relationships and
- developmental outcomes.
- Understand and manage risk in relation to perinatal mental
- health difficulties
- Understand the pathway to specialist perinatal and parental
- mental health services
