Aims
When a child is aged between two and three, settings must review their progress, and provide parents and/or carers with a short, written summary of their child’s development in the prime areas.
This workshop will cover:
· What the Progress check is?
· Your statutory duty
· What the focus of the assessment is and what needs to be included
· Who the assessment should be shared with
Summary
You have a duty to complete a progress check for children aged between two and three, even if the child is attending another setting. There have been a number of inspections that have found this has not been completed.
This is an opportunity to be remaindered of what the requirements are or for new providers what is expected from this assessment.
