Aims
These meetings are designed to support music subject leaders by creating regular opportunities to share knowledge, reflect on current practice, and develop their approach to music provision. They will offer a collaborative forum where leaders can discuss what is working well in their schools, identify common challenges, and exchange ideas and resources that can strengthen music teaching and learning.
In addition to sharing practice, the meetings will include training to build confidence, develop subject knowledge, and support ongoing improvement. They will also provide time for broader discussion about music provision across schools, helping leaders to consider curriculum, delivery, participation, and enrichment in a wider context.
A further aim of the meetings is to build connections across schools, encouraging partnership, collaboration, and mutual support between music subject leaders. By bringing colleagues together in this way, the meetings will help to develop a stronger network of shared expertise and a more consistent, high-quality approach to music education.
