Access to training courses
Central training
We continue to provide most of our training and development programme virtually via Zoom conferencing platform which can be accessed on a range of devices. Full joining instructions will be forwarded to governors prior to each training event.
School-based bespoke training
Within your annual subscription to the Governor Development (Training) service, your governing body is entitled to one bespoke whole governing body session on a topic of your choice, usually held in your school. This term any bespoke training can be arranged to be provided in person or online, whichever is preferred by the governing body.
Cost
Training can be accessed either via an annual subscription (SLA) or on a pay-as-you-go basis. We believe that the cost of the subscription provides excellent value for money as it gives your governing body unlimited access to all centrally run courses plus one bespoke session for your whole governing body. The SLAs are normally circulated to all Headteachers/Principals and Chairs of Governors at the start of the financial year.

The quickest and easiest way to book (or cancel) a place on a course is directly via GovernorHub. Those governors who don't have access to GovernorHub can book their places by email. You can either use a booking form (docx, 56kb) or simply state which courses you wish to attend in your email. Once you have requested a course, an acknowledgement will be sent out. Should you not hear from us after booking a course, please get in touch to confirm your place prior to attending.
