Your school development plan (SDP), sometimes referred to as school improvement plan (SIP) or strategic plan (SP) is the key operational document that sets out all the actions that will drive  your school's improvement against the strategic objectives and priorities set by the governing body. This session provides you an opportunity to examine:

  • Why effective governance is essential for school improvement.
  • The school development plan as the key document in supporting school improvement.  
  • What are the key areas the SDP should cover?
  • What is the governors' role in agreeing and reviewing the SDP
